О натюрмортах, и вообще…
Сообщество оставленных вещей со следами рядом текущей жизни, — людей нет, только ощущаются их прикосновения, запахи… Признаки невидимого… они для меня убедительней самой жизни. Убедительней искусства, дотошно обслуживающего реальность, будь то изо- или проза… — в нем мелочная забота о подобии, педантичное перечисление вещей и событий, в страхе, что не поймут и не поверят… занудство объяснений, неминуемо впадающих в банальность, ведь все смелое, сильное и умное уже сказано за последние две тысячи лет…
Поэтому я больше всего ценю тихое ненавязчивое вовлечение в атмосферу особой жизни, сплава реальности с нашей внутренней средой, в пространство, которое ни воображаемым, ни жизненным не назовешь — нигде не существует в цельном виде, кроме как в наших Состояниях… — и в некоторых картинах.
Я ищу в картинах только это.
Не рассказ, а признание.
Не сюжет, а встречу.
Насколько такие картины богаче и тоньше того, что нам силой и уговорами всучивают каждый день.
Современная жизнь почти целиком держится на потребности приобрести все, до чего дотянешься. Если все, произведенное человеком, имеет цену, простой эквивалент, то в сущности ставится в один ряд с навозом. И на особом положении оказываются только вещи, не нужные никому или почти никому. Цивилизация боится их, всеми силами старается втянуть в свой мир присвоения, чтобы «оценить по достоинству», то есть, безмерно унизить. Это часто удается, а то, что никак не включается в навозные ряды, бесконечные прилавки от колбас до картин и музыки для толпы, заключают в музеи и хранилища, и они, вместо того, чтобы постоянно находиться на виду, погребены.

Удается, но не всегда, живопись находит пути, вырывается на волю, возникает снова, не музейная, успокоенная тишиной залов, а вот такая, без рам и даже подрамников… Я говорил уже про восторги — «как написано!»… — мне их трудно понять. Если картина мне интересна, то я мало что могу сказать о ней… вернее, не люблю, не вижу смысла рассуждать, подобные разговоры мне неприятны, словно кто-то раскрыл мой личный дневник и вслух читает. Обмусоливать эти темы обожают искусствоведы, люди с профессионально выдубленной шкурой.
Как-то мне сказали, теперь другое время, и живопись больше не «мой мир», а «просто искусство». Я этих слов не воспринимаю, разве не осталось ничего в нас глубокого и странного, без пошлого привкуса временности, той барахолки, которая нас окружает и стремится затянуть в свой водоворот?.. Бывают времена, горизонт исчезает… твердят «развлекайтесь» и «наше время», придумывают штучки остроумные… Что значит «просто живопись»?.. Нет живописи, если не осталось ничего от художника, его глубины и драмы, а только игра разума, поза, жеманство или высокопарность…
И я остановился на картинах, которые понимаю и люблю. На это и нужен ум — оставить рассуждения и слова на границе, за которой помогут только обостренное чувство и непосредственное восприятие. Другого ума я в живописи не приемлю.

Dan Markovich was born on the 9th of October 1940, in Tallinn. For many years his occupation was research in biochemistry, the enzyme studies. Since the middle of the 1970ies he turned to painting, and by now is the author of several hundreds of paintings, and a great number of drawings. He had about 20 solo exhibitions, displaying his paintings, drawings, and photo still-lifes. He is an active web-user, and in 1997 started his “Literature and Arts Almanac Periscope”. In the 1980ies he began to write. He has four books of short stories, essays and miniature sketches (“Hello, Fly!” 1991; “Mamzer” 1994; “By the Sweep of the Tail!” 2008; “The Cookies Book” 2010), he wrote eleven short novels (“LBC”, “The Turncoat”, “Ant”, “Paolo and Rem”, “White Dwarf”, “The Island”, “Jasmine”, “The Last Home”, “Footprints on the Seashore”, “Nemo”), one novel “Vis Vitalis”, and an autobiographical study “The Monologue”. He won several literary awards. Some of his works were published by literary magazines “Novy Mir”, “Neva”, “Kreshchatyk”, “Our Street”, and others.

  3. Great post. There's another I would add, not because of the strategy, but because of its seeming abuse by certain authors. On twitter, some writers will put an intriguing line from their book. I actually find this interesting…until you see ten more tweets from the same author about the same book within a few minutes. I think it would be more effective to space those out.

I could perhaps be persuaded you might be correct regarding A and D. But there's not a hell of a lot of mtDNA C in Australia, or New Guinea. None to be exact, except perhaps for some modern Chinese. And B seems closely associated with Eastern Asia, perhaps originally SE Asia and so maybe not strictly Mongoloid, but certainly not Caucasoid.

Een prachtige groentekwekerij waar deze groente ook recent nog in volle glorie tussen de spruitjes en de rode en andere kolen stond te pronken. Ik had het nog nooit eerder gezien!   122. My parents have a 2007 Nissan Maxima 3.5SL and they love it. The only problem with the car is the very loose steering. You move the wheel ever so slightly and you could end up in another lane or even rear-ending someone! I hope they fixed that in the 2010 version otherwise many people would cause road rage because of that reason.
