Давным давно была такая серия, слегка ироничная, пожалуй. Тогда Париж не то, чтоб мечтой был… просто все закордонье было недоступным, меня в родную Венгрию не пускали, казался неблагонадежным. Когда же стало возможным, и шли уже разговоры, приезжай, мол, вызов оформим… Отказался. Не любитель туристических красот, в музеях устаю в первом же зале, двух-трех изображений вполне хватает. Если б пожить нормально, поработать — другое дело. Походить по дворам да закоулкам. И чтоб тебя не кормили добрые люди, и чтоб годик-два в своем отдельном тихом месте…
А поскольку невозможно, а только в гости… Не нужно мне в гости, дома лучше. Так и не поехал. А сейчас уже времени нет, нет, нет смотреть на чужую жизнь.

Дан Маркович родился 9 октября 1940 года в Таллине. По первой специальности — биохимик, энзимолог. С середины 70-х годов - художник, автор нескольких сот картин, множества рисунков. Около 20 персональных выставок живописи, графики и фотонатюрмортов. Активно работает в Интернете, создатель (в 1997 г.) литературно-художественного альманаха “Перископ” . Писать прозу начал в 80-е годы. Автор четырех сборников коротких рассказов, эссе, миниатюр (“Здравствуй, муха!”, 1991; “Мамзер”, 1994; “Махнуть хвостом!”, 2008; “Кукисы”, 2010), 11 повестей (“ЛЧК”, “Перебежчик”, “Ант”, “Паоло и Рем”, “Остров”, “Жасмин”, “Белый карлик”, “Предчувствие беды”, “Последний дом”, “Следы у моря”, “Немо”), романа “Vis vitalis”, автобиографического исследования “Монолог о пути”. Лауреат нескольких литературных конкурсов, номинант "Русского Букера 2007". Dan Markovich was born on the 9th of October 1940, in Tallinn. For many years his occupation was research in biochemistry, the enzyme studies. Since the middle of the 1970ies he turned to painting, and by now is the author of several hundreds of paintings, and a great number of drawings. He had about 20 solo exhibitions, displaying his paintings, drawings, and photo still-lifes. He is an active web-user, and in 1997 started his “Literature and Arts Almanac Periscope”. In the 1980ies he began to write. He has four books of short stories, essays and miniature sketches (“Hello, Fly!” 1991; “Mamzer” 1994; “By the Sweep of the Tail!” 2008; “The Cookies Book” 2010), he wrote eleven short novels (“LBC”, “The Turncoat”, “Ant”, “Paolo and Rem”, “White Dwarf”, “The Island”, “Jasmine”, “The Last Home”, “Footprints on the Seashore”, “Nemo”), one novel “Vis Vitalis”, and an autobiographical study “The Monologue”. He won several literary awards. Some of his works were published by literary magazines “Novy Mir”, “Neva”, “Kreshchatyk”, “Our Street”, and others.

  103. Надо бы позавидовать, да не хочется. Рад за Вас, и все.
    А лет тридцать тому назад с таким же чувством осваивал Тбилиси, который очень любил. Ходил по улочкам, по базару, заглядывал во все дворы… Еще Крым, Феодосия, Коктебель… На спор бегал на гору Волошина, на время, я эти глупости любил. Разные встречи, люди… Хочется ли еще? Не хочется. Нет того Тбилиси, нет того Крыма. Особое было время — ДЛЯ МЕНЯ: молодое, безмятежное. Освоение новых городов, новых людей, «присвоение» их происходит все-таки в молодости. Это трудно объяснить даже самому себе, поскольку начал живопись около сорока, прозу — в 44, то есть, мог еще осваивать новое. Компьютер, интернет, языки, переводы, живопись, повести написаны… почти всё, когда за 50 было. Но видимо, это другая сфера, а города, люди, страны перестали притягивать. Не жду от новых мест и встреч новизны. Как в свое время от науки перестал ждать, примерно понял, из каких кирпичиков строится научная истина. Наверное, о людях то же могу сказать, они везде устроены, в главном, одинаково.
    А на улице, в пяти минутах от дома — сколько угодно нового, тысяча историй каждый день, с травой, с землей, со зверями… Все просто не записать.
    Но что-то сильно потеряно, что скрывать…
    «Да ладно… — как говаривал мой герой, — что случилось, то и получилось…»

  104. я была три раза,первый раз в захлеб слушала экскурсовода,видела Париж через глазок видеокамеры,это равносильно -смотреть телевизор,но немного неудобно стоять…
    Второй раз решила посетить только музеи и побродить по улочкам.
    В третий раз растворилась в толпе,сидела в кафешках,бродила по переулочкам,каталась по Сене.
    Хочется еще!!!

  105. Да, иногда вздыхаю, вот, не был…
    А потом забываю.
    Постепенно жизнь «уплощается» — все важные минуты и воспоминания уже не выстроены в ряд по времени, а как бы окружают кольцом, в которое современности трудно проникнуть. И хорошо, и печально.
    Пройдет, пройдет… 🙂
